I'm looking at testing 802.11a for FCC and CE marking. FCC is not too confusing because I'm currently doing the same thing for 802.11b.
I'm not very familiar with the CE portion of the marking. I'm lost in the newapproach and cenelec websites because I don't know what I'm looking for initially. What directive will an 802.11a transmitter fall under? What I do know: I need to test to 40GHz for FCC RE. I need to test to 59GHz for CE radiated emissions. What I don't know: In band transmitter power limits for CE. Band edge measurements for FCC or CE? Are there restricted bands around there? I'd like to see a HOWTO or something similar for these tests. not even a HOWTO would be needed. Maybe just a checklist of things to do.
