Hi Michael,
Unfortunately, I've already tried to overwrite the file, but now the
receiver can't load any further data, cause its internal memory is full
with the corrupted data, and every new load is supposed to add new points
to the exixting ones, and not to replace them.
Abut the RF section: we bought our receiver six years ago, so I don't know
if it is still on market. I think the best way is to ask Agilent.

We have the same (but only the RF section).
I never used this feature as we use a software to do the tests,
so I can only provide you with a wild guess:
Did you try to overwrite the file with a similar named, non-corrupted file?
The best would be a longer one to overwrite any weird data.
BTW: Do you know where to get the filter section of the 8542 separately?
It is not urgent, but it would complete the receiver to a fully CISPR-16
compliant device. We use it for pre-compliance only right now and have
another one for the rest.
