Hi all, I've got a problem with my HP8542E EMI receiver: One of its features - very useful for automated measurements - is the possibility of creating an internal list of points (SIGNAL LIST), and we can save it on a floppy disk as a .SIG file. We can as well recall from floppy disk any .SIG file previously saved to remeasure at all the frequency points stored. Now, I have loaded a .SIG file that was somehow corrupted, so now I can neither edit the list nor delete it. I don't know in which kind of internal memory the list is stored, but any switch off or preset of the receiver leave it inaltered. Do anybody know how to completely preset the receiver to the factory default? Is there some kind of service menu accessible or a sort of recovery software available ? I know i couId send the receiver to Agilent to repair, but I'm up to my ears in work and I can't do without the receiver for more than two days, so I would try to solve the problem myself.........
