Peck Hoon, For what it is worth: In my past life I worked with a German standard (ZH1/618) directed at the workplace where visual displays were used. As I remember there was a reference to the lighting requirement standard. I don't remember the standard number, but I have been told rather recently by a German ergonomic expert that all of those workplace requirements were being published in ISO documents - with only minor changes from the original German requirements. Any German list member should be able to give you more specific information.
