IEEE 802/11a/h deals with RLAN applications in the frequency bands 5150-5350
MHz and 5470-5725 MHz.

The LIPD Cat. 44 covers the freq. band 5150-5350 MHz. that seems to be ok.
But the LIPD Cat. 45B and the Radiocommunications Class Licence, Section 10,
set out requirements for the frequency band 5725-5850 MHz, just above
5470-5725 MHz.
Is there any other regulation covering this upper freq. range of 802.11a/h?

The LIPD (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class Licence was modified in
Aug 03 to rename Category 45 of Schedule 1 of the LIPD to "Digital
Modulation Transmitters".  In addition it also include to new "Digital
Modulation Transmitters" Categories - Category 45A & 45B.  Category 45B
provides for Digital Modulation Transmitters in the frequency band between
5725 - 5850 MHz with a maximum EIRP of 4W.  See the LIPD Class Licence from
the ACA web site for further requirements.

Is a 5GHz wireless product according to IEEE 802.11 a or h for RLAN
applications allowed in Australia and which Regulations and Test Standards
apply?
I notice that the Radiocommunications (Spread Spectrum Devices) Class
Licencse 2002 does not list the frequencies used by 802.11a/h.
