I read in !emc-pstc that Piotr <[email protected]> wrote (in <002401c3ece9$5b2b3800$154d4d0a@MmRouter>) about 'RS485 and CM choke' on Fri, 6 Feb 2004:
>The most stupid in it is that until >Poland is in EU no body in Poland can be allowed to mark its product >with CE (the right is reserved for EU countries), That must be something specific to Poland, IF it is true. Manufacturers all over the world MUST put the CE mark on products intended to be exported to the EU. The only reason I can see why you can't put the CE mark on your products is that you can't have them tested in an approved test-house in Poland. But I think you CAN put the CE mark on if the product has been tested in an approved test-house in another country -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only. The good news is that nothing is compulsory. The bad news is that everything is prohibited. http://www.jmwa.demon.co.uk Also see http://www.isce.org.uk This message is from the IEEE EMC Society Product Safety Technical Committee emc-pstc discussion list.
