Sorry to hear your tail of troubles. I bought a used printer over E-bay with the same result. Both cartridges were almost empty with a mess in the bottom of the chassis. Cost $50 to replace the cartridges. That was the cost difference in a demo (used unit) and a new one. There are plenty of rocker switches around Silicon Valley. You need to measure the hole size and head for Anchor, ACE, Surplus Solutions, or Halted. Call me if you need addresses.
