Indeed, this problem will always exist during the transition period from one standard (or edition) to a new standard (or edition). In the worst case, as you mention, during the transition period, you can always buy two CBs, one to the old version and one to the new version. Or, you can negotiate with your CB provider to indicate compliance to both versions in one CB, although how to do this may be a bit tricky. I think you will find your CB provider willing to provide a single document for both versions. It may be an addendum, or it may be some other explanatory means. (We've done a couple of CBs now to two versions with some explanatory means that our CB provider is comfortable with.) Enough of our colleagues have experienced this problem that I expect the IECEE may very well put this issue on their agenda.
