Jim,

External power supplies are regulated in most countries and require national
certification. There are countries such as Argentina,Mexico, Taiwan, Korea,
China, Japan, India, Singapore, US and Canada which require the mark on the
power supply and other countries such as South Africa and Israel which require
testing and certification but no mark is required on the power supply.

Please note that many of the countries mentioned above require safety and emc
as part of their certifications.

Best Regards,

Peter

Dear group,

I have been offline for several months, so please excuse me if this is a
repeat topic.

We have received some information that power cubes (Limited power source, 220V
in, 24Vdc out) need CCC for safety in China, and BSMI for safety in Taiwan.

Our products have their own safety certifications to the IEC60950 type
standard (with whatever national deviations are relevant).

I have had a difficult time confirming that the independent power supply
requires these approvals.

Has anyone needed to address this, and confirmed (or not) the need for the
approvals?

Thank you.
