Hi Kim, I will only address the 2004/104/EC Directive, i.e. usage after 1st January 2006
If the equipment only is used while the Bus or Truck is parked the equipment will only need a CE-mark and DoC with reference to the EMC direktive. If however the could be in motion, you will need a certificate from a technical service stating that the equipment not is "immunity related". The equipment shall fullfil the 2004/104/EC, but a e-mark and e-Certificate will not be needed if the equipment is stated as not "immunity related" by a technical service. You may find a list of technical services at one of the pages at: http://www.europa.eu.int/comm/enterprise/automotive/index.htm Look under "Information", left side at the buttom. The equipment shall be CE-marked and the DoC shal have reference to the directive 2004/104/EC.
