Hi John, You're right - it is dated. I was too quick. Annex ZA in EN60601-1-2:2001 lists the standard numbers as printed in the document in the first two columns. Columns 4 & 5 give the corresponding EN document to use.

Are you sure it's an undated reference. Don't look at Clause 2 but at Annex ZA. CENELEC now recognizes the problems with undated references, and prefers dated references. While 'dated' and 'undated' references both have advantages and disadvantages, more or less balanced, the overriding advantage, in my opinion, is that with a dated reference, there is NO DOUBT as to which version shall be used. The subject is still under discussion in IEC/CISPR, though.
