Not yet. And, for those who use CISPR 24 / EN 55024 it really doesn't
matter yet anyway. These standards use dated references to the IEC/EN
61000-4-x series and still call out the 1st edition of each. We will
likely be working on an update to CISPR 24 in the future, but for now
the change to IEC 61000-4-5 is of academic interest to the ITE world.
Not sure about other standards that use the 61000-4-x series.

The fact that IEC 61000-3-2 has been updated is interesting, but until
regulators adopt the new version it isn't of practical impact. I'll bet
that a new version of EN 61000-3-2 will follow shortly. Just keep an
eye on the OJ for effective dates.

If there is a new version of IEC 61000-4-5, does this mean that the EN
and IEC standards are now different?

All
The IEC website http://www.iec.ch/online_news/justpub/jp_2005/jp.htm
lists the following standards as just published: IEC 61000-3-2 and IEC
61000-4-5.I believe the changes to IEC61000-3-2 affect particular
products only particularly washing machines however I'm unsure as to the
changes introduced in the revised version of IEC 61000-4-5.
Can anyone send details of the changes to IEC 61000-4-5?

Ian Gordon
