Hi Wendy,
You’ll need option 4 below; for ISO 17025, you will be required to use an ISO 17025 accredited cal lab (or perform the ISO 17025 evaluation of the cal lab yourself). IMHO, if the cal lab could pass an ISO 17025 audit, they will already be accredited as such. Also, you will need their measurement uncertainty data for use in your own MUC budgets for the process in which you use the measuring instrument. While I do not operate an accredited lab, I would have expected that the only credible options are 2 or 4. Option 2 may be sufficient if there are no corrections or calibration factors to worry about, but if there are any error corrections or calibration factors then I can see no alternative to Option 4, an Accredited Calibration Certificate and Report. Dear All, My company's EMC test laboratory is preparing for ISO17025 Accreditation. In view of this, when we purchase new test equipment, is it sufficient to have the following accompanied: 1) Traceable Calibration certificate only? or 2) Accredited Calibration certificate only? Or 3) Traceable calibration certificate and calibration report? Or 4) Accredited Calibration certificate and calibration report? Many equipment only comes with item (1). My concern if it is sufficient for ISO17025. Please advise. Thanks.
