Don't EVER do editing in the full committee. Detail a few (no more than 
three) who can do English well, and preferably French and German to weed 
out the use of figurative English expressions and discover possible 
translation problems.

If possible, don't do it at all during the meeting time. Do it in the 
evenings or do it after the meeting by e-mail. For evening meetings, a 
MODEST amount of beer helps find consensus.
