Hi group, Many of the EU countries do not have their own approval mark and instead accept other country approvals as their own.
All allow the <HAR> mark to be used instead of using the symbol for each individual agency. If a line cord/cord set has approvals from these countries, would it be acceptable throughout the EU (except UK)? Alternatively, what is the groups experience in using <HAR> cord sets, as opposed to cord sets with individual approvals? The <HAR> option is not available to cord set manufacturers outside of the EU, and my engineering group would like to know if we will run into problems since the cord set must be acceptable in the country of installation. The cord set in question has approvals from: Norway Austria Sweden Denmark Finland France Holland/Netherlands Italy Germany Belgium Thank you for all assistance.
