I think this question has already been answered, but to clarify; although 73/23/EEC has been repealed, the new directive, 2006/95/EC makes specific provision that any reference to 73/23/EEC will be construed as a reference to 2006/95/EC. Hence, there is no need to change existing DoCs, which will gradually disappear as products cease manufacture, just use the new directive for all new DoCs. Best regards

That said, I usually adopt wording along the lines of , " We hereby declare that product xxx conforms to the requirements of Directive xxxx/yyy/EC, having been tested/assessed to the following standards...." Some products will meet 2004/108/EC and some 99/5/EC, but none will comply with both as R&TTE takes precedence over EMC and LVD, embracing the requirements of both. Best regards Neil R.
