I have two questions for the group concerning detection circuits used on spectrum analyzers:
1. With no other changes to gain, bandwidth or transducer factors, would an AVG detector provide a lower noise floor than a QP detector? 2. Which of these two detectors has the longer time-constant (charge & discharge) Thank you, Ralph McDiarmid, AScT Compliance Engineering Group Xantrex Technology Inc. - - This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
