Scott: I am not clear on your question. Per RoHS Directive tests are performed on the homogenous level of product components. Per Packaging Directive similar test are performed on packaging components. The testing methods are the same, but the results are for different components. These results are acceptable if they are below the relevant limits.

In relation to reduction of waste there are three EU Directives relevant to packaging: * 2005/20/EC * 94/62/EC * 2004/12/EC. In 2005, Directive 2005/20/EC amended Directive 94/62/EC. Per 2005/20/EC, the sum of concentration levels of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium) present in the packaging components shall not exceed 100 ppm by weight.
