As I read it, NVLAP and A2LA test laboratory data will now be acceptable
even if the laboratory is not registered with VCCI. The letter states that
the original agreement text "Both NVLAP and A2LA are not valid until
notification" has been removed from the VCCI requirements.

In February of this year there was an exchange of letters between the US
(FCC) and Japan (VCCI) on the mutual acceptance of EMC test reports by
accredited test facilities. If I am reading the letter from the VCCI
correctly, I believe that the US laboratories now have to join the VCCI and
register their sites with the VCCI to gain acceptance. Does anyone know if
this is correct? I have an inquiry into the FCC but I think it involves too
many Governmental links to quickly get an answer.

Thank you,
