Bob, We are buying products from the suppliers. In order to comply with EU Directives/local regulations, we request the suppliers to provide the LVD & EMC compliant reports. As a responsible suppliers to our customers, we would like to check if the doc conforms to the product supplied as far as practically possible. Of course, we can submit the product to public laboratory for re-testing it again but it is not viable to do so except the preference from the public laboratories. I believe it is a common practice and every company is facing the same challenge, i.e., when you buy some components, how can you test them at public laboratories.
