Rob, I no longer work at a lab that performs the test. However, when I was there, we performed the test in two steps with two amps. The 10 to 100kHz range was performed with an audio amp (125w as I recall) and 100kHz to 30MHz with a 75w 50ohm RF amp. With the low output impedance of the audio amp (4 ohms), it was very easy to drive too much current on a very low impedance cable, so we used active feedback to reduce the drive as necessary (which was allowed in the standard). I don't remember the exact power levels that were required. Bob Richards, NCT
