Well, in fact it's the European implementation of IEC 62061, as you can 
tell by the number starting with 6 - home-grown CENELEC standards start 
with 5.

IEC 62061 (2005-01)
Safety of machinery - Functional safety of safety-related electrical, 
electronic and programmable electronic control systems
Maintenance Result Date: 2007


IEC 62061 Corr.1 (2005-07)
Corrigendum 1 - Safety of machinery - Functional safety of 
safety-related electrical, electronic and programmable electronic 
control systems

I don't think it's easy to understand 62061 without also reading some of 
the 61508 series.
