One of our product lines (a automatic, low-power, VHF digital data
transceiver) is being asked to supply a model that will comply (be capable of
being licensed) with the Japan Radio Law. We have spent several months
studying a translation of the Japan Radio Law document, and even longer
extracting bits of requirements from our potential customer. Presently, we are
attempting to determine how the Japan Radio Law technically defines things
like "occupied bandwidth" and "necessary bandwidth". It's beginning to appear
that we need a native guide!
 
Are there any technical authorities, or consultants, who can provide us with
insights and advice about how to ensure that a product can be "licensed" under
the Japan Radio Law? Please reply off-list if you prefer.
