Dear members, Could you please share your experience/comments in regard to the 1.6 m x 0.8 m size of horizonal coupling plane (HCP) per 61000-4-2? Need it to be the exact size of 1.6 m x 0.8 m? I would like to have a working bench works for both 61000-4-2 ESD and 61000-4-4 EFT/Burst tests. With the size of 1.6 m x 0.8 m, I may have a difficulty to place a generator, a capacitive coupling plane, and an EUT on the table. It would be great if I have 4' x 8' ground reference plane on top of the table. However, 61000-4-2 seems critical for the size of HCP: "If the EUT is too large to be located 0.1m minimum from all sides of the HCP, an additional, identical HCP shall be used, placed 0.3 m from the first, with the short sides adjacent."
