Grace, As I remember, the appendix was in Docket 20780, the Report and Order that originally adopted the FCC digital device rules, dated around September 1979. I wouldn't worry about it too much...

I don't know if there is an appendix in the FCC Rules. I took a quick look at the 1984 47CFR Part 15 Subpart J - Computing Device , pp 506-512. There is no appendex in that subpart.
