Wasn't there a proposal to change the insulator to a .1m spacer like what is used with floor mounted equipment? Is this still a possibility?
I've never understood the .5mm insulator and what this part of the setup it is trying to accomplish or simulate. Maybe someone can explain it. Can anybody recommend a suitable material (and UK based supplier if possible)? It would be nice if it was reasonably immune to tearing. I've looked in RS and Farnell and their plastics materials all seem to be too thick. Does this matter?
