We cannot deem safety to one standard as being "more safe" than to another standard. We can say that the standards are different. The result of both standards is a safe product. The standards are for different use domains. Such usage differences may be cause for different limits. requirements, and tests. And, as one of my HP colleagues said, "Safety standards are the collective inversion of bad experiences." The medical standard is based on bad experiences in medical situations. Same for the IT standard. So, they are different, but both provide a safe product.
