Robert,

Members have provided valuable comments including the excellent interpretation
of the rule from Dennis.

I have submitted many Zigbee applications with reverse polarity SMA connectors
to the FCC and TCB. They were granted, including three applications being
granted by the FCC this year.

If you don't feel comfortable with the connector you choose, I suggest you
send your first application to the FCC if your marketing colleagues can wait
for four weeks.

With regards,
Grace

It is my understanding that for wireless 2.45GHz [zigbee] compliance,
the
antenna has to be 'permanently' attached during Production.

Or, use left-handed SMA connector. What? Does it take a license to buy a
        left handed SMA connector now?

Anyway, is it acceptible to use a regular SMA connector and then loctite
it down, or RTV it down, or such? Or, place a "warrantee void if seal
        broken" label on it?

        Recommendations out there?

        Regards,
        Robert
