If device is mounted that way what is the other way for the manufacturer to ensure powering by LPS than asking for it in instruction ? He can limit power for most of his PCB, but far beginning elements (like power connector) are powered by power supply connected by the user and it must be LPS (if you don't wont to use fire enclosure). I have asked here for it year or two ago and found no solution for it. I was told that power socket mounted on PCB is not "plugs and connectors forming part of a power supply cord" needing no fire enclosure. So what is better: to mount power connector not at PCB but at short cable (plus fuse) or to ask for LPS ? Fortunately since than I had no to write any instruction, but my decision was that when I'll be writing one I will ask for LPS in it. What is the other solution ?
