Hi all

We have a medico product with a Li-Po battery back. The pack have UR approval,
but this is only for the cell not including the protection/charging circuit
integrated in the cell.

The solution is to integrate a simple protection circuit in the main product.
This could be done by a Zener diode between poles and a PTC in the positive
pole + a normal Li-Po charging controller (+ diode in charger connector for
external charger PSU for reveres polarity.)

Is there a UL standard for Li-Po safety or is there any UL design requirements
for such a protection (eg. Double the PTC and Zener diodes)

Best regards,

Mr. Kim Boll Jensen
