1) Are there any major differences between China's GB 9706.1-2007 Medical electrical equipment - part 1 General requirements for safety and the base IEC document on which it is based?
The customer ran a 3,000 volt Dielectric withstand test on a 5 volt hand held secondary device. It failed at that point and the claim is that the 3k is required for Chinese safety. I think they are off a column based on 60601-1. They seem to be looking at the mains connected equipment and not 5 volt secondary stuff. Without the exact standard in my hand I can't verify that. 2) We are in the planning stages for next year's training budget and I would like to throw in the cost for the EMC symposium. Does anybody have the entry fee and any idea where it will be held this year.
