Hi Scott:
Scott: If the possibility is so small, is it worthwhile to recall the
products that one insulation deteriorates? Stopping sale is a must.
If one insulation deteriorates or fails, then one may not know
when the next insulation fails. So it is necessary to recall.
Scott: Those professionals, design and test people are relying on the
symbol to determine the safety protection class?
No. They are either designing or testing the double insulation
system. The symbol is to distinguish between Class II and
Class 0 whose construction appears the same on the outside of
the equipment. Class I needs no symbol. (There is a symbol
for Class III but it is not required.)
Best regards,
Rich
