I doubt that conscientious companies need be alarmed. The focus on the
CE logo is clearly aimed a the 'China Export' scam.
It is certainly true that a lot of low-cost, low grade stuff is coming
into the EU via EU countries that do not have any effective market
surveillance, and legitimate suppliers' market shares are adversely
affected. Once across the EU border, it's very difficult for such
products to be traced, unless by detecting the smoke.
