See http://iet.jrc.ec.europa.eu/energyefficiency/sites/energyefficiency/files/files/documents/ICT_CoC/code_of_conduct_for_eps_version_5_-_final.pdf Search term was "EU external power supplies 2014"
Note Tier 1 on page 4 has a date of 1/1/2014. I have no idea what legal weight a "Code of Conduct" from the Commission has. I have never seen one before. Can anyone explain? Regards, Lauren Crane KLA-Tencor From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 13, 2014 11:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [PSES] New EU Code of Conduct Happy New Year all I have a question that I was hoping you could assist me with the answer or point me to where I may be able to get the answer. We have been told by a couple of NRTL that the new requirements from EU concerning external power supplies energy efficiency have been changed as of January 2014 and the new requirements that covers minimum efficiency and standby power has become more stringent. They are not able to give us more information and I have not been able to get anything on the web yet. Are you guys aware of this new rule? thank you Peter - ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
