SWER is still used in a few countries where financial reasons dictate reduced wiring of the simplified power distribution. It is used in the interior of Brazil, rural areas of South Africa, Mozambique and Laos. SWER used to be used occasionally in agricultural installations from Nebraska through Saskatchewan. It is hard to find in these areas now, but you can still find corner grounded delta installations in this North American agricultural area.
