Gee, I still have my Pickett N4-ES double log slide rule and know how to use
it. And I use a circular slide rule (E6-B) for flight planning. Beats the
heck out of an electronic one in flight as I can operate it with one hand, even
in turbulence. I still have some analog meters, but I will admit that I don't
use them these days. :-)

Yes, however, I haven't seen a slide rule in 40 years nor an analog meter in
20 years.

Agree.

However, the principles of "significant digits" is rarely understood by today's
technical folks, and wasn't needed in the days of analog meters and slide rules
where we usually got only two significant digits, and were lucky to get three
significant digits.
