I suppose you could, but IEC TC104 has many standards on this subject. You can see a list on the public part of the IEC web site if you go to www.iec.ch, click on 'Technical Committees' on the right of the front page, scroll down to TC104, click on it and select 'Publications' from the drop-down menu.

I assume that regular electronic devices (not telecom devices) can use this series to category the devices according to the classes described in the series. In the absence of similar standards for general electronics, use of EN 300 019 should be better than nothing.

Or are there other environmental standards that’s recommended?
