AXIS really doesn't do a very good job displaying code that uses A-axis words--it ignores the A values and displays X, Y and Z. However, as others have said, emc2 will control such a machine just fine.
By displaying each point as X'Y'Z' = rotate(X,Y,Z,A), it would be possible to show the effect of A-axis movements in the output, but there are some questions about the "meaning" of an A axis that I don't think are settled, mainly this one: The A axis causes rotation around a line parallel to the X-axis, but it is not necessarily around the line Y=Z=0. On one machine I have used, the center of rotation is closer to Y=1.5 Z=2 or so. Jeff ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
