Problems during the install most likely have absolutely nothing to do with EMC, and the limited number of EMC users and developers are not the best source for help. Literally millions of people have installed stock Ubuntu 6.06 LTS, so the Ubuntu community has seen (and solved) far more install problems than we ever will. You can get stock Ubuntu at: http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu/download#lts Information about Ubuntu support is at: http://www.ubuntu.com/support Once you have stock Ubuntu working well, then you can easily install EMC2.
