Hi all - A few days ago I posted a message asking for some pointers regarding PID tuning with EMC2, I still can't seem to figure out what the best approach is.
I know the logging in Halscope is not yet done and the script emclog.tcl does not work so I have no way to plot commanded position (or PID error) VS time, as far as I can tell. If there is a diff rent way to go about this I would love to hear about it. I have access to a single channel oscilloscope don't know what go that will do, I suppose I could increase Pgain till I see a sine wave on the scope and then record Pgain and frequency and use the ZN method, but is that a good approach ? thanks in advance -ali __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
