You bring up a servo performance graph, jog, observe the result, change a parameter and try again. You can repeat this about every 5 seconds until the response is what you find satisfactory. >Currently, I have to reboot to Windows to tune the Rutex drives. > >(Off topic) Any updates on your Bridgeport conversion on >http://pico-systems.com/CNCconv.html ? Other than changing over from the Servo-to-Go and an old PC to my own PPMC and newer PC and EMC2, there's mot much going on there. I am scraping in a saddle and knee from a BOSS machine to eventually replace my saddle and knee. My table and everything else is badly worn after approximately 68 years. I got the ball screws out of an Excellon circuit board drill, but eBay is now a good source for ballscrews, if you are patient. I got a new (old stock) Bridgeport Y-axis ballscrew for $69 or something on eBay last year. I'm still looking for an X screw. The old BTC tool changer is notorious for dropping tools. I have no idea why it does that, or whether it is fixable. An ATC is not trivial. If you've seen how Mazak did it on the Micro V, you know there has to be a simpler way. Changing the spindle on a Bridgeport is not trivial either, if you want to put a different taper or quick change on it.
