For some reason that I'm not sure of, EMC opened tonight and the maximum 
velocity for each axis was 5, just like I had been trying to set.  The 
main difference I can figure out is that I changed maximum output from 1 
to 5, and now to 10.  Anyway, I can now rapid and jog at 240ipm without 
faulting!  Awesome!  Now all I have to do is wire & configure the 
spindle encoder, spindle drive, home & limit switches, homing routine, 
coolant system, spindle oil pump, slide/ballscrew lube pump, e-stop 
circuit, enable relay, 240VAC, etc ....UUUGGGHHH    :-)
