I have my X and Z axis working and my spindle drive is on the way. I need to connect the spindle encoder so I can cut threads. I don't know if I need to connected to the Mesa encoder inputs, general purpose inputs, parallel port or what. On the Pluto-lathe configuration, it's connected the pluto board, on the NIST_Lathe, it's connected to the parallel port. Unfortunately I don't have a MESA-Lathe configuration to go off of and this is my first EMC and Linux experience. So far I haven't found information in the documentation about configuring a lathe spindle encoder. Can anyone here point me in the right direction? Or at least tell me where/how to find out this information?
Thanks!
