Currently the line width is directly mapped to the tool index and the depth isn't yet used at all. But i plan to make both somehow configurable, so you can make both match your needs. Perhaps a simple translation table will be fine in both cases. But i am not sure if i'll make this configurable inside xfig as i am not sure if i want to dig that deep into xaw (the gui lib xfig is using) programming. Perhaps it'll just be configurable by an external config file.
