Last time I peeked, that one wasn't supported by the GNU toolchain, so
alternatives like Atmels' AVR family, or the MSP430, are perhaps a bit
more "linux friendly". The AVRs do 16 or 20 MIPS, and have multiple PWM
channels, plus (mostly) bunches of ADC channels. Oh, and they cost next
to nothing. :-)
