No, you connect the A,/A B,/B and Z,/Z wires from the encoder to the 7I33T. 
The 7I33T has the 3486 line reciever for the differential signals built in. 
The 3486 chip on the 7I33T converts these differential signals to single ended 
TTL level signals for the 5I20. The 7I33T then connects these TTL level 
signals to the 5I20 with a 50 conductor flat cable.

You must also jumper the 7I33T for differential mode encoders (this is 
described in the 7I33 manual)
