Hi,
If this is something that is hard to fix then
I am sorry for bringing it up.
I am sure someone before me has pointed out that the
cutter compensation (G41,G42 milling) does not work
as it should on concave radii.
I use CAM software to do most of my work, using
tip comp (mostly .000 dia tool offset). The only way
I can get it to work is by offsetting the geometry
.005 or so and putting in a -.005 in the tool offset.
This seems a hack way of doing this.
I dont know if this is a lack of look-ahead or what.
If Im the only person who complained about it I will
continue to do my offsetting and not say anything more.
I will say though that I can take the same program that
does not work on EMC and put it in 3 other machines in
my shop and it will work.( I know what you are thinking--
why doesnt he just use one of the other machines? EMC is
on my fastest machine also my favorite)
I hate to complain about something(EMC)that works better
than I expected but its too late now.
Maybe some happy faces will help :) :).

Later

Terry
