Contact Matt Shaver about his "puppy Linux" with EMC.  I think it fits 
on a thumb drive from several years ago.
You can also just trim it yourself, with the apt-get remove command.  
But, who cares, unless you need to run EMC2 from a 1 GB thumb drive or 
something.

Hello Jon

Yes ... I think I was feeling a little guilty downloading Ubuntu just to use
EMC2. My main interest lies in EMC2, not with Ubuntu.
So long as every one is happy so am I.
