Gentlemen,
   For a few days I have been chasing a problem with the B axis
overtraveling to -360 degrees when I change from manual to mdi. This
started one morning a few days ago. I thought I had made major
progress one evening when I left. The next morning I encountered this
problem. I have been unable to devote a lot of time to this but during
slow times I have tried to figure out what I have done to get to this
point.
   Maybe I shouldn't but every morning for this test I start with a cvs update

cvs -z5 update -Pd
./configure --enable-run-place
make

   If I remember correctly I had a problem with the Makefile. It
seemed to be corrupted. I changed its name, did the cvs - configure -
make again and had the same problem. I 'fixed' the Makefile and seem
to have had this problem since. My definition (and result) of 'fixed'
is hopefully different than a veterinarian uses. :)

   I tried using a proven kinemaitics (very simplified and old) to
eliminate an edit problem in my world. This kinematics file has no
calculations and yields the same overtravel. I don't want to increase
the limits to allow this.
joints(4) = pos->b;
and
pos->b = joints[4];

   I tried (not expecting a fix) tkemc. This did not change the
overtravel problem.

   I don't remember changing anything in files other than my files I
created and use for testing the hydrotel. If no one has any thoughts
to try I will check out a new trunk and put my files in it to see if
it runs. Something has changed. I cannot figure out what.
thanks
Staurt
