Thanks Ray. It took a while, and some prodding, for me to see the
connectors which aren't shown in the picture in the picoPSU manual PDFs.

Yes I've just been counting on my fingers:

   CDROM                20W
   HDD                 < 7W
   J7F2WE-1G5 mobo      12W
   Mesa 5I23  10W+I/O   15W  ?  (With many inputs,PWM & DIR outputs)
                       ====
                        54W
                       ====

So the 80W picoPSU should romp it in, since the J7F2WE-1G5 on-board
graphics are OK with RTAI, IIUC.

I take your point on doing anything useful from the CD. I've just
downloaded 2.3.0 live, and the CDROM had a year's worth of use before
anything much of the demo stuff came up on the screen.

Normally I put two HDDs into a box, one for a mirror, because I don't
back up onto removable media every day. I suppose there's power left for
that in this case too, even without going to the 120W PSU.

Many thanks for your information in the manual. It's what is making it
possible for me to get started. (My current PC has Max jitter of 121826
on the servo thread, and 133966 on the base thread. It seems to have
shared memory, because the merest graphics operation added two digits to
the result.)
